THE TON THREAD TRACKER


Hi everyone! This is my personal spreadsheet for thread tracking + reward tracking + printing out the rewards for The Ton. I've decided to make it public use, so here is the link to the spreadsheet and the guide:
Installation instructions
  1. Go to the spreadsheet and hit file--> make a copy. This is important to preserve all the necessary settings.
  2. Fill out the Settings and Trackers tabs. If you're confused, there's a legend below to reference.
  3. In order to fill out the rewards tab, first fill out the first 2 columns of the Rewards tab, and then on the menu bar, select The Ton-->Populate Rewards Proof Dropdowns and then select your proofs.
  4. When selecting anything from the menu for the first time, you will be prompted by google to give permissions to the script. You must give it permissions in order to run the necessary scripts.
How to Use NOTE: If you are only interested in the stats tab and not the rewards comment printer, feel free to ignore these instructions. In that case, you will only need to fill out the tracker tab.
  1. Fill out the Tracker tab and the Settings tab.
  2. Fill out the first 2 columns in the Rewards tab. Please ensure that the cost does not exceed 26.
  3. On the menu, select The Ton-->Populate Rewards Proof Dropdowns
  4. Your rewards tab should now have the requisite amount of dropdowns per cost on each item.
  5. Once you start filling it in, you will get red ticks on the selected items, and that item will disappear from the list of selectable items. Items marked as "submitted" on the tracker page will also not show up in the list.
  6. When you have selected the rewards you wish to print, go to The Ton-->Print Rewards Comment and you will see this:

    Please note that the spreadsheet does not check if your threads are long enough or if you have enough proofs, so please make sure to verify yourself first.
  7. Submit for rewards. With the "Check to Print in Comment" still selected, go to The Ton-->Mark Rows as Submitted.... This will automatically go through any proofs in the entries marked as "Check to Print in Comment" on the rewards tab, and mark them off on the tracker tab. Once an entry is marked as submitted, you will no longer be able to select it from the drop-down menu, so if it is marked by mistake, please simply mark it unsubmitted manually.

    You may also do this function manually.
  8. In order to use the stats page, fill in the requested date range and the stat sheet will pull data from the tracker tab.
Legend Settings
  1. Player name - this is your name, it's necessary for printing the rewards comment.
  2. Character name - this is your character's name, it's necessary for printing the rewards comment.
  3. Character canon - this is your character's canon, it's necessary for printing the rewards comment.
  4. Check-in url - this is completely superfluous but I like to have it in case I lose my check-in url.
Tracker
  1. Date - this is the date of the thread. It's only used for the stats tab, so if you don't care about that, you don't have to fill it in.
  2. CR name - this is the name of the CR you have. If there are multiple characters, please separate those threads out by separate entry. This is used only for organization and on the stats tab.
  3. URL - this is the url to the thread. This is necessary for the rewards comment.
  4. # of comments - how many comments there are. This is necessary for the rewards comment.
  5. Description - a description of the thread. This is necessary on the rewards tab, since each entry is defined by the description field, so please put in a unique identifier.
  6. Submitted for Rewards - This checkbox is not necessary to fill out manually, although you can. Once you have submitted rewards using the spreadsheet, you can actually go to The Ton-->Mark Rows as Submitted On Tracker Spreadsheet and the spreadsheet will dynamically pick which threads should be marked as submitted, based on criteria from the rewards tab.
Rewards
  1. Reward Description - what you want it to say on the description when you submit. HTML is allowed.
  2. Cost - how many proofs needed. Maximum cost allowed is 26, please do not go over this amount. If you need to, please separate the item into multiple entries.
  3. Check to print in comment - please check this field if you wish to have the script print out this item in your rewards submission comment. I've left it as a toggle so that you can keep old records or WIPs on the list without having them printed while you submit your rewards. In order to add a checkbox, you can go to Insert-->Checkbox
  4. Proofs - In order to fill these out, please first fill out the Tracker tab and then the first 2 columns of the Rewards tab. Then go to the menu item The Ton-->Populate Rewards Proofs Dropdowns. This will 1. generate the amount of dropdowns required by the cost and 2. Allow you to select only from the list of unsubmitted threads that are not being used as proof elsewhere on the sheet. For more details, please see the breakdown of the menu below.
    • Because of spreadsheet magic, when you select an item, you'll get a little red tick that says it's an error. Please ignore this, as it's necessary to the spreadsheet's function.
    • If you selected a proof in error and wish to use it elsewhere, simply delete or select the blank option.
    • The reason I made it function this way is that you cannot accidentally select a proof twice.
Stats
  1. Start Date, End Date - this is the date range you want to aggregate details by. It takes data from the Tracker tab.
  2. Don't touch the other fields, they will generate.
DONT_TOUCH
  1. This is some background stuff that is needed by the spreadsheet. Please do not touch this.
Menu Items Explained On the file menu bar, you will see a The Ton menu item. This is where all the scripts are.
  1. Populate Rewards Proof Dropdowns - Once you fill out the tracker tab and the first two columns of the rewards tab, this function will dynamically take the cost of each item and make drop-downs so you can select which thread proof to use per each proof needed.
  2. Print Rewards Comment - This will go through the Rewards tab and print out all the ones that are marked as "Check to Print in Comment." It will not verify if you have the requisite proofs per cost, so please make sure to only check this box once you have the correct number of proofs selected.
  3. Mark Rows As Submitted on Tracker Spreadsheet - Once you have submitted your comment, do not uncheck "Check to Print in Comment" yet. This function will go through the Rewards tab and select all the proofs in entries that are marked as "Check to Print in Comment", and mark them as submitted on the Tracker spreadsheet. After that, you may unselect "Check to Print in Comment." If you have run this in error and it marked off submitted items in the Tracker spreadsheet before submission, you will have to go through and manually unselect "submitted" on each one of those.
