PERSONALITY
your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world -- "No, YOU move.β
Steve Rogers is first and foremost, a good man. He chose to receive enhancements that amplify a person's physicality depending on what kind of person they are inside. He gains super strength, endurance, peak physical condition, and about a foot in height and a hundred pounds of muscle. The reason he chose to undergo the procedure was because he was a sickly, small man who was rejected from being able to serve in World War II. He is a protector, he detests bullies, and he has an incredibly strong moral compass.
Because of this, Steve can be extremely stubborn. He doesn't back away from a fight because he's outnumbered or because he's weaker; he doesn't show signs of regret or weakness when he's losing. One of his most famous lines is "I could do this all day," which he utters after standing back up following getting knocked down. He carries orders but he's not afraid to bend the rules either, even fighting the law, his friends, and becoming a fugitive for several years as a result.
Steve can also be blunt, both in terseness of speech and in actual content; he has a situationally contentious relationship with authority and isn't afraid to voice his opinion or his disagreement.
A trained military tactician, Steve is calm and collected and able to make calls under pressure. He can take a glance at a map and remember all the points of interest and he can think quick on his feet. He is a quick study, he's resourceful, and people generally look to him to come up with orders. One of his nicknames, and the name of a song written about him, is "The Star-Spangled Man With a Plan." He is generally well-prepared as well as decisive. Along with this, he has a talent for rallying speeches and inspiring others to action. Having spent part of his tour as a morale booster, he's also utilized in modern-day PSAs. And even though he is extremely famous in his world, he doesn't lean into it as if it were a perk. Rather, he tends to filter out the over-enthusiasm in fans when they speak to him, and treats it as a necessary part of his role.
He is open-minded and tolerant, which comes particularly easily to him for a man from his era. His chosen elite team of Howling Commandoes was a mixed-race team in a time when that wouldn't be normalized, he respects Peggy when her other colleagues do not, and he's friends with a self-proclaimed God despite being Christian himself. He isn't perfect about his tolerance, but he is self-aware of such. When Natasha suggests a prospective love interest for him, he describes the woman in question as having a lip-ring and states that he's "not ready for that," suggesting he understands the problem comes from his feelings, not her choice.
Having spent some time in the modern era, he's no longer quite as old-fashioned or as proper as he once was. That being said, he had many first-time life experiences during his service and many more after waking up in 2011, so part of that life experience is a loss of both naivety and innocence. He mentions it himself when he states that he thinks someone else "came out of the ice;" there is a definite maturity that he's been forced to develop after a few years serving as an Avenger.
He is very responsible and, when stealing a car, requests Natasha get her feet off the dashboard. Even in Age of Ultron, the other characters make fun of him as he warns another one against swearing; a couple movies later, he's much less discerning. People might say that he's a little uptight, but he's self-aware and he attempts to improve his attitude. He still prefers records over digital music and handwritten letters over e-mail; some of him will always remain rooted in the past.
Steve cares about others, has a hero complex, and is quite pacifistic. His chosen weapon is a shield and he takes little pleasure in excessive violence. In one case, he enters a room full of enemies and asks them if anyone would like to exit before he beats them all to a pulp. He is also selfless and attempts to martyr himself on several occasions, succeeding on one. In that regard, he is quite fearless. But he can also be overprotective: upon finding out that Tony's parents were murdered, he allows Tony to continue believing they died in a car accident in order to spare him more grief (this backfires spectacularly, of course).
He has a serious personality and is well-suited for practical fighting as an action hero. He has a better sense of humor in his private life, mostly in trading banter, and particularly with Bucky or Sam. He pokes fun at his own self-righteousness, as well as his age.
Steve's also incredibly loyal, hard-working and steadfast. He stands by Bucky and tries to rescue him and defend him from his captors, his brainwashing, and the fall-out from said brainwashing. He can be reliably called upon by his friends for aid; people expect the best out of him and he tries his hardest to make sure that's what they get. He de-facto assumes the role of the leader when one doesn't present itself or when someone else thrusts it upon him.
He has a healthy self-esteem, self-assuredness, and relatively little self-doubt, though more since he's woken up from the ice. He tries to stay optimistic, so much so that sometimes it annoys his teammates. He is also forgiving in nature, and unlikely to attack a foe who he no longer considers a threat. Even though he is a positive individual, he also understands that the world is not in black and white and compromises are needed for the greater good, and he acts accordingly.
As for interpersonal relationships, Steve has made several close friends and allies over the years. Of the ones he has lost, he mourns them all deeply. He tries his best to move forward from the past, but his melancholy over lost loved ones is particularly strong; his judgment can become impaired when it pertains to Bucky and Peggy in particular. He is a consummate professional in his line of work, he is friendly, and he is polite to all his acquaintances.
Steve values honesty and forthrightness. He likes being in control of a situation, and he doesn't tolerate liars and dislikes when his team has secret agendas. He likes to be able to trust people.

HISTORY
Born on the Lower East Side of Manhattan to Irish immigrants Sarah and Joseph Rogers, he grew up in (vague neighborhood in) Brooklyn; his father died of mustard gas poisoning before his birth during WWI and he spent his teenage years through the Great Depression, which was when his mother died of tuberculosis. Sometime in his childhood, he befriended James "Bucky" Barnes and the two would continue on to be best friends, with Bucky offering Steve to stay with his family after his mother's death.
Before World War II, Steve attended Auburndale Art School, probably to become a comic book artist like he does in the comics. But when America got involved in the war, all Steve wanted to do was enlist. He was rejected many times because of his frail stature and numerous medical issues, and he even lied on his forms so he could serve. This is the background to his introductory film.
The First Avenger
At the Stark Expo (run by Howard Stark of Stark Industries, a leading company in the weapons industry) he tries to enlist again. He's overheard speaking about his unwavering decision to Bucky by a doctor named Abraham Erskine. Erskine decides to offer Steve a chance to serve with his project known as Project Rebirth, citing that it is precisely because Steve is weak but keeps trying to enlist that he is perfect, since the serum he's created amplifies goodness or evil in a person.Steve gets to join the army, but before Project Rebirth he's weakly (4F) so the others look down on him and some even bully him during training by making his obstacles worse. He also meets Peggy Carter, whom he would later consider to be the love of his life. Erskine tries to convince Steve's commanding officer, Colonel Chester Phillips, that Steve is the right man for Project Rebirth, since they are hand-selecting a soldier to receive the serum. The Colonel throws a dummy grenade into training, and Steve runs over to block it with his body, yelling at everyone else to get back.
This ultimately allowed him to be selected for the prototype, and the scientists take him to a secret base in Brooklyn and through a series of hilariously cheesy 40s technology effects, the experiment is a success and formerly-skinny Steve becomes extremely buff superhero-looking Steve. Before any celebrations can be done, a mole in their midst shoots out Erskine and grabs the last remaining vial of serum. Erskine makes Steve promise to be a good boy and then dies, which angers Steve, and he runs through the streets of Brooklyn barefoot chasing down the mole.
He chases the guy down to a submarine, where the remaining vial of serum is destroyed (thereby making it impossible to create any more soldiers like Steve) and the mole commits suicide, but not before revealing that he works for HYDRA. HYDRA is an organization run by none other than Johann Schmidt, nicknamed Red Skull, and they do evil things like try to take over the world via a magic energy cube called the Tesseract, which is also important later.
One of the senators, Brandt, decide that instead of going forth with having scientists prod at Steve to reconstruct Erskine's serum, they would instead repurpose Steve as Captain America. Captain America originally is just a stage name for a fake persona to sell war bonds; they made movies and comic books and tie-in merch. He is then assigned to do continental tour shows dressed in a patriotic costume and delivering speeches to inspire the American public, while stage-punching some guys dressed up as Hitler (a reference to the comics, where he actually punches Hitler.)
Peggy finds Steve drawing himself as a dancing monkey, and reveals that the audience who boo'ed him were the only returnees from the group that went after Schmidt, the 107th unit. Steve perks up at this because he recognizes that number as Bucky's unit. He immediately goes to see Phillips to ask if he's knows if Bucky is dead, and when it's clear Bucky is not of the returning men, Peggy pulls a favor with Howard Stark and they fly Steve to HYDRA's base.
While there, he frees about 150 of the captured men, including a tortured Bucky, and gets a quick look at the map of HYDRA targets. Schmidt, meanwhile, has set the place to blow so after a brief meeting where Schmidt reveals he is called Red Skull because the serum amplified his power but also gave him an evil appearance. Bucky and Steve barely make it out alive.
Steve returns the troops to the American base, where he is cheered on as a hero. Then he puts the map of HYDRA items together and Phillips asks him to return to destroy the HYDRA bases. Steve gathers together his men-- the Howling Commandos-- Barnes, Dugan, Jones, Morita, Dernier and Falsworth. Together, they destroy said bases.
Howard Stark, meanwhile, has devised a couple new shields for Steve, since he's a weapons manufacturer and Steve has been fighting using a stage prop. He is drawn to one immediately, which turns out to be made of vibranium and is the only piece of vibranium on Earth known to them. It is immensely strong and absorbs vibrations.
Steve goes out on a mission with the Howlers, where they find a train and are told that HYDRA's lead scientist, Zola, is on it. After an obligatory train fight, Bucky falls to his death and Zola is captured. In exchange for the information on the hidden last base that isn't on the map, Zola is not killed.
Red Skull's master plan involves sending out lots of missiles, so Steve infiltrates the base with his team and follows Schmidt out to a plane. Red Skull gives Steve some spiel about the power of the gods and grasps onto the Tesseract, which is a great power source. Then it sends him into an alternate dimension because sometimes it acts like a portal, but Steve thinks he's dead.
Because the plane is equipped with a bunch of missiles, Steve decides to land it into the arctic to make sure that none of them get sent to the places they are meant to bomb. The last person he talks to is Peggy through a radio, where they reschedule a date they've planned and Peggy is left listening to the static as the plane crashes.
After the war is won, Howard finds the Tesseract and keeps looking for Steve.
The Avengers
Steve is recovered eventually by a team and defrosted. He wakes up in a room that is designed to look like the 1940s, even though it's actually 2012. He becomes immediately suspicious because the game playing on the radio is one he attended in 1943. When he runs out, he finds himself in Times Square.Shortly thereafter, Loki, who is in line for Odin's throne but has been cast out of Asgard, shows up at the SHIELD base in order to steal the Tesseract. He has struck a deal with a purple alien named Thanos in order to take over the Earth. In exchange, Thanos wants the Tesseract because it contains an Infinity Stone, which Thanos is trying to collect. Loki agrees because as he is no longer in line for succession, he wishes to rule the Earth.
Nick Fury has an idea in mind known as The Avengers Initiative, a group of superheroes collected together in order to protect the Earth. Fury tells Steve that his assignment is to retrieve the Tesseract because Steve's seen firsthand what it does, and they're joined by Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow, Doctor Bruce Banner AKA The Hulk, who became The Hulk due to a failed remake of the Super Soldier Serum and is officially along to track gamma radiation, and Tony Stark AKA Iron Man, who is Howard Stark's son and acts as a consultant to SHIELD. They are later joined by Thor, god of thunder and Loki's older brother.
They track down Loki in Stuttgart, where he attempts to make people kneel to him and accept him as their ruler. Steve rushes in and he, Natasha and Tony take on Loki, eventually imprisoning him into a steel tank where it will come loose if he tries to break it and drop him to the ground from their aircraft, the Helicarrier.
Tony and Bruce are busy tracking down the Tesseract, and Steve confronts Tony when he tries to upset Bruce into becoming The Hulk. Tony says he is suspicious of Fury, and tries to hack into all the systems to find what is really going on. Steve, meanwhile, leaves. As soon as Tony is done hacking into the system to find that SHIELD is working on a bunch of weapons technology and Tony is part of this research, Steve comes in with a large gun as proof of the weapons technology. The Avengers all have a disagreement over this, exacerbated by Loki's staff, which includes power from the stone. This culminates in Bruce turning into the Hulk and Loki escaping, trapping Thor in his cell which he then ejects, and killing Agent Coulson.
Hulk is eventually baited into jumping out of the Helicarrier, Natasha beats up Clint who had previously been brainwashed by the staff, and Tony and Steve are sent to fix an engine that was shot down.
The parts of the team that are left on the ship regroup and are besought to work together in order to defeat Loki. Tony discovers that Loki is going to open up a portal on top of his tower to invite in an army of aliens, and they head to New York.
The Avengers successfully fight off the alien invasion and become a team. Afterwards, they go their separate ways, which involves Steve driving away on a motorbike on presumably an expired license.
Winter Soldier
A year later, we find Steve living in DC and stationed there to work with SHIELD. He discovers that Natasha has been sent to do a covert mission in addition to the one he thinks she's on, and confronts Nick Fury about it. Fury shows Steve Project Insight, which is an algorithm that detects threats. Steve finds this suspicious, and reconsiders his involvement in SHIELD. He travels to England to find Peggy Carter, and confesses to her that he's half still part of SHIELD because she founded it.Meanwhile, Fury has become suspicious of Insight as well since he discovers that he's been locked out of files with his own ID. This triggers something in the enemy's system, so Fury is chased down. He hides out at Steve's apartment and is shot by a mystery shooter. Steve chases after the shooter but loses him. Before Fury is taken to the hospital, he gives Steve a flashdrive containing important information and explains that SHIELD is compromised. Then he fakes his own death, and Steve is taken by SHIELD in for questioning.
Due to Fury's assassination, Steve isn't sure who to trust. He refuses to answer Pierce's questions, and later a group of men are sent to attack Steve in an elevator before he can leave the building. Steve fights them off and escapes by jumping out of the elevator, but is tagged by SHIELD as a rogue agent for refusing to answer questions relating to Fury's death.
Steve returns to the hospital where he'd stashed the flashdrive, and finds that Natasha has taken it. She tells him that Fury was murdered by the Winter Soldier, who's a hired hand for HYDRA at legendary status, and most people don't think he exists. They go to a public mall to read the flashdrive because reading the information sends out their location. They make their way to Camp Lehigh, where they discover that SHIELD has been infiltrated by HYDRA for many years. Zola, who has uploaded his consciousness into a computer, explains that HYDRA has been pulling the strings for a long time and insinuates that the Starks, believed to have died in a car crash, were assassinated. He explains that his goal was to sow chaos to get people to accept protection from HYDRA under the guise of SHIELD, and sends a bomb at Steve and Natasha.
They hide out at Sam's, since he's unaffiliated with SHIELD, and Sam recruits himself for their cause. They kidnap Jasper Sitwell, who they've discovered is a HYDRA agent, and get him to explain who Zola's algorithm is targeting. On their way to stop Insight's launch, they're interrupted by the Winter Soldier and a team of guys whose entire job it is to hand guns to the Winter Soldier.
Steve manages to unmask the Winter Soldier only to discover that he's actually Bucky, who's both alive and has been completely brainwashed. But before he can process this, he, Sam and Natasha are arrested by SHIELD and then rescued by Maria Hill and taken to Fury. Fury hands them items to counteract Insight but they need to be delivered onto the Helicarriers.
While doing so, Steve throws his shield down because he refuses to fight Bucky and further, and the two of them fall from the successful mission but quickly dropping Helicarrier into the Potomac. Bucky fishes Steve out but then disappears.
In the meantime, Natasha publishes SHIELD and HYDRA's information to the internet, thus dissolving SHIELD. But during this final battle, they drop a building on Brock Rumlow, who survives and later becomes Crossbones.
Age of Ultron
While on a mission to one of the HYDRA bases to destroy it, the Avengers meet Wanda and Pietro, who are twins that signed themselves up for experiments to serve their country at war. They have an ulterior motive which is that they blame Tony for their parents' death, so Wanda manipulates Tony into seeing a vision of the future in which he is left standing among a pile of his friend's dead bodies. This prompts him to recruit Bruce to work on a project which is an artificial intelligence placed into Iron Man suits around the world, named the Ultron project. He uses the mind stone, which is the stone that originally gave Wanda and Pietro their powers, but this corrupts the AI who goes rogue. While hiding out at Clint's family farm, Steve confronts Tony about how Ultron is a bad idea.
Ultron mind controls a doctor and steals an item called a cradle, which is supposed to create fake human tissue. His goal is to create a human flesh body for himself.
Ultron decides to go to Sokovia and lift the capitol city in order to crash it down to the Earth to destroy it. Wanda and Pietro attempt to reason with him and realize that they've chosen the wrong side, and leave to assist the Avengers evacuate the city and fight the Ultron bots. During this fight, many die, including Pietro.
They defeat Ultron, and out of the cradle is born Vision, who joins the Avengers as well. At the end of the film, Tony leaves Steve in charge of the Avengers in the Avengers facility in upstate New York. However, the incident at Sokovia is considered a catastrophe and seeds a lot of resentment for The Avengers, though this is not immediately evident.
Civil War
On a trip to MIT, Tony is confronted with a woman whose son died as a result of the events of Sokovia, and she blames Tony for her son's death. Wracked with guilt, Tony decides to sign the Accords, which are laws set forth by the United Nations to sanction the Avengers. Steve believes the response team will be too slow, and also he's just dealt with SHIELD being HYDRA and as several high-ranking government officials were involved with that, he doesn't trust whatever panel will be sent to be in charge of them. Not to mention, he finds the internment and the arrest of superpowered individuals without trial to be unconstitutional. He refuses to sign and then flies to England for Peggy's funeral. While this happens, Bucky is framed for an explosion at the UN meeting to ratify the accords. Steve goes to bring him in because he thinks he can reason with Bucky, and they're caught. Tony gets sent to reprimand Steve but tell him that he can make this whole snafu go away if Steve signs the papers now, and they can help Bucky get mandatory psych help instead of sending him to a prison. However, he mentions that they have Wanda grounded at the Compound due to the fact that people are scared of her powers, and thinking this unjust, Steve refuses to sign and then leaves.
During this time, it so happens that a man named Zemo has infiltrated this area to get one on one time with Bucky in order to trigger his brainwashing and turn him into a weapon. Steve and Sam fight him and Bucky explains that Zemo is going to Siberia where other Winter Soldiers were created and he means to control them as well.
Tony is sent to capture Steve and arrest him, and Steve insists that they have to go to Siberia. The group of heroes fight in Germany, and Steve and Bucky sneak off to Siberia. Tony realizes what a mistake he's made when he discovers video evidence that Bucky was framed, and sends it to Ross who is the Secretary of State. Ross does not care about this and wants Steve and Bucky arrested, so Tony goes onto the Raft prison to ask Sam where they've gone.
Tony joins Steve and Bucky to stop Zemo from waking up the Winter Soldiers only to find that he's actually shot them all dead. He hates Super Soldiers and the reason he actually wanted to bring them there was because he wanted to show Tony that Bucky is actually the one who killed his parents. Steve tries to explain that he was brainwashed, but Tony is distraught. Steve refuses to let Tony kill him, and the three fight. Steve has to crack Tony's arc reactor to power off his suit, and Tony becomes upset, feeling like Steve has betrayed him, and asks for him to return the shield. Steve drops it, and walks off with Bucky.
Zemo goes up to listen to the voice mail that his wife left him shortly before she and his family died in Sokovia, and plans to commit suicide now that he's effectively destroyed the Avengers team. Black Panther, who has stowed away because he wishes to avenge his father's death, saves him. He also realizes that he had been chasing Bucky the whole movie, but that Bucky was framed and he nearly killed the wrong man.
Bucky is taken to Wakanda where he can work on deprogramming his brainwashing. Steve is now outside of the law, and breaks his friends out of the Raft so they can lie low and actually become vigilantes. He sends Tony an old Nokia that contains his number in case of emergencies.
Infinity Saga
Steve is hiding out and occasionally running missions. Though it's not explicitly stated, in this period he should be referred to as Nomad since he's no longer Captain America.Thanos targets the ship carrying all Asgardians and kills half of them, including Loki and Heimdall. Heimdall uses the last of his power to send Hulk to Earth to warn them that Thanos is coming. He explains to Stephen Strange and they recruit Tony Stark to fight against Ebony Maw, one of Thanos' Black Order. Bruce and Tony have a discussion over whether or not to call Steve, but haven't decided when they're attacked. Tony gets sent off into space and Bruce calls Steve in.
Steve, Natasha and Sam intercept Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive attacking Vision for the Mind Stone, and chase them off. They go to the Avengers compound to discuss what to do and Bruce suggests that they surgically remove the stone from Vision's head, and they might be able to save him. They go to Wakanda to do this, with warnings that Thanos is coming. The Wakandans recruit the nearby armies and put up Wakandan shields.
Thor has spent the film with half the Guardians of the Galaxy going to Nidavellir to forge himself a weapon that could kill Thanos, and Tony has been on Titan with Peter and Strange, the latter of whom has used the Time Stone to pick out any timelines in which they win against Thanos (1). He gives Thanos the Time Stone and then Thanos goes to Earth to retrieve Vision's which is the last one he needs for a complete collection.
After Thanos's snap it takes five years before Ant-Man is released from the quantum realm. He brings up time travel as an idea for the Avengers to return to the past to steal the Infinity Stones and snap everyone back, and then put the stones back where they belong.
Steve gets put on a group with Tony and Scott, where they go back to 2012 to retrieve the mind stone. Steve retrieves Loki's staff and gets in a fight with himself, besting his 2012 self by distracting him with the knowledge that Bucky is alive. When he meets up with the other two, it's revealed that Hulk came out of the stairs last-minute and knocked the suitcase out of Tony's hands, thus sending the stone towards Loki, who uses it to escape.
Tony informs Steve that in 1970, Camp Lehigh contains the mind stone and more Pym particles so they can return to their original time. Steve goes with him and finds Peggy, who is now director of SHIELD, and looks at her from behind blinds. He eventually returns up to the meetup point and the two return to their time.
Bruce snaps everyone back, however, during a trip to Morag, Nebula accidentally tipped off the past Thanos of the Avengers' plan, and he comes to Earth to fight them for the stones. He attacks the Avengers compound, and the remaining Avengers try to climb out of the rubble. Steve, Tony and Thor go to meet Thanos and fight with him three on one. To save Thor from being killed, Steve picks up the hammer, much to Thor's delight.
Thanos breaks his shield as Thor and Tony are knocked out, and Steve stands up to fight once more. Thanos conjures his Black Order and his army, but Steve just tightens the shield on his arm and marches towards him, alone.
Just then, he gets a call from Sam, who had been dusted. Portals begin to open and from them come all the Avengers who have just returned from being dust.
At the end of the battle, Tony takes the gauntlet and snaps his fingers to kill the army, at which point they disappear but he dies. After attending Tony's funeral, Steve is tasked with placing the stones aback where they belong. But once he does, he returns to the 1940s and lives out his life with Peggy.
Finally, he returns to the park where he'd disappeared back into time on the dais, in order to pass his shield on to Sam.
ABILITIES
enhanced physiology
Before the administration of the Super Soldier Serum that gave Steve his powers, he was 5' 4" and a little under a hundred pounds. According to the Smithsonian exhibit on him, he is now 6' 2" and about two hundred pounds. The serum gave him "peak human physical perfection," which means that he has a lot of muscles, but also that he has 20/20 vision, perfect hearing, and is in excellent health.
super strength
Though his physicality is supposed to be "peak human," this is somewhat exaggerated in the canon as he exhibits an ability to curl a moving helicopter (over three thousand pounds, given the exact model of the helicopter in the film)
super speed
Again, though he is listed as having peak human speed, he demonstrates the ability to run comfortably at 26mph long-distance. There are estimates that he could sprint at around 40mph.
endurance
Steve often falls from great heights at seemingly little detriment to his person. He was also buried in ice for seventy years with no oxygen with no muscular atrophy, suggesting that his body's upkeep (eating, sleeping, and breathing) are vestigial impetuses, and not actually necessary for him to function.
master strategist
Having served as a Captain in World War II, Steve is well-equipped to handle leading a team into combat. He is known as the "man with a plan", and always follows through.
resistance to disease
Prior to the serum, Steve Rogers had a laundry list of ailments (heart problems, nervous problems, high blood pressure, asthma, etc) that caused him to be extremely frail. He has since been cured of everything. Whether he is totally immune or merely resistant to disease is not covered by MCU canon, but his immune system is highly enhanced.
accelerated healing
He sustains a lot of injuries throughout his movies, but he heals faster than normal humans and though he has many serious ones in his career, they do not appear to be permanent. It is also canon that his metabolism is too high for him to become drunk off of human alcohol, so he is likely also resistant to poisons and toxins.
near-eidetic memory
According to the Wakanda Files, which is an in-universe compendium of documents, Steve has a near-photographic memory after being tested by the scientists post-serum. It is unclear whether or not he has this capability pre-serum.
increased lifespan
It is unclear how long Steve's lifespan is, but at the end of Endgame he would have lived for around a hundred and twenty years. It is not suggested that he is deceased after Endgame, but he is definitely retired.
heart
Though he has mostly physical abilities, what makes Steve special, that even his enemies have commented on, is that he is a good person. He is selfless and morally incorruptible. He is also capable of wielding MjΓΆlnir which is enchanted that he is one of the three characters that have been demonstrated to be worthy of its use. Though worthiness is not quantifiable, it does signify his heroism to the other characters.
misc
For some reason, he speaks French. Other known French speakers on the team include Natasha and Tony.
