Not noticeably quick, but between the expression on her face and probably just the presence of Steve next to her... They change their mind. His level-headedness keeps her from deviating and checking one last thing here or there or adding something else to the list of things she wants to make sure don't fall behind while Waverly revives and recovers. Everywhere she looks, there's just the barest touch of her friend and coworker. A little fleck of glitter here, a small vase of flowers there, the word of the day board at the front desk -- it would have been exhausting to try and walk out of here in an orderly fashion on her own.
She takes the helmet without question, now not the time to let him know about her own protective charms she can manage. Even if magic is unsteady for her on the best of days. Doing as instructed, she holds on and tries not to look at the people in white. She catches a glimpse of someone else with a mallet and just closes her eyes until his voice breaks through the fog settling over her attempts to emotionally distance herself from it all. Already beginning the tedious process of compartmentalizing it all before it became the last straw of this emotionally confusing month. ]

And while she's deciding how to handle Q, she could feel guilty about leaning on Steve again later. Julia just needed to not be at her own house for a little bit - get herself out of the equation. Get her feet back under her and then she could find a way to make this up to him if she interrupted any plans he might've had for the next hour or so.
